Kiya-Writer

I'm Kiya, 27 year old writer from a small town in Hampshire. I have always been into writing and have written songs and poetry since my early teens. As a teenager I was very much so into DJing and making my own music. And was so from the age of 12. My music helped me keep out of the madness that was going on around me and kept me from going down the wrong path. But around the age of 21, music kind of took the back burner as I decided to take the "sensible" route down the career path. I started One Line A Day as a bit of fun really, a way to get back into writing songs and poetry, trying to shift the ongoing writer's block haunting both my mind and right hand. But as I got further along and sticking to it religiously, I decided to try and make something of it. Now I am still writing one poem in my book everyday with the hope that one day people may read it. Wether they love it, hate it, or just skim through it. As long as they read it. I guess my story is one of that you should never be afraid to chase your dreams. Never sell yourself short and give up on what you believe in. Just because it is your dream, it doesn't mean it can't become reality

Unwelcoming eyes. Taunting, shooting the messenger. I changed my face for you, tore my skin off and wore camouflage for you, pulled my hair out for you. Did you ever see the true being inside? Did you ever see any man for man? Cruel acceptance, withering through time. Endless expectation
